Thank you for your interest in the Recycling
in the Schools Project. With the action of recycling, kids
develop good habits, and begin to comprehend the benefits
of returning valuable commodities to the economy, while
saving energy and resources. Many of our schools do not
recycle because of budget constraints. That is why Missoula
Valley Recycling (MVR) has started a program under the umbrella
of Home Resource nonprofit status.
Our goal is to fund and implement recycling in Missoula schools.
Your tax-deductible donation will help. Working with a school
representative, MVR will provide bins to the school, and offer
regular curbside pickups. MVR also will offer to conduct in-school
educational demonstrations to emphasize the how's, what's,
and whys of recycling to students. A school can be funded
for about $600 per year.
We are seeking donations from YOU: individuals, organizations,
and businesses to fund recycling for a school of your choice.
If your desired school is already funded, we will use your
donation for another school or program expenses. Funds will
be allocated by a board of directors consisting of business,
teacher, and parent representatives. Home Resource will manage
the funds for a fifteen percent fee.
Depending on your donation amount, we will publicly recognize
the fact of your support (with your approval) with signs at
the school you choose, and/or with recognitions we place in
newspapers. Call us if you have any questions or comments.
